Whoa!! I woke up late again this morning, 45 mins. late than usual. Guess I was still sleepy and turned off my alarm after it went off. It was all because I slept at 3 in the morning. Ho Ho... Luckily, I wasn't late for my chemistry class. Whew!! Finally finished my first chemistry test this morning. Actually the test was held on last Friday, but the college was closed due to hurricane Ivan. I missed some of the chemistry questions (didn't really study the theory part), but I guess I still can pass this first test. Hehe... *wish me luck* =)

Anyway, my cousin finally came back from her vacation to Medan. She hasn't gone back to Medan for 6 or 7 years. Finally, she decided to take a break and went home two weeks ago. She arrived at Atlanta airport at 8 o'clock this morning, and she came back here with our lovely grandma. Yippee!! ^_^ Haven't seen my grandma for almost one and a half years lor... He..He..He.. *wink..wink* She will be staying with us for about 4 months, in other words, she will be back to Medan in Jan' 05. So long, huh? Start mizzin her and her cook liao. Ho Ho Ho... I still have two classes before I end up my schedules today, and I'm longing to go home and meet my grandma already.

I'll be happy to tell more about my grandma, but I gotta go now. My English class is about to start in half an hour. Gotta walk to the Building A now before I late for the class. See Ya everyone!! *^_^*

Hey guys.. check this out! Juz wanna share it with ya'll. (Got it from my uncle.. thanx! ^_^)

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

"How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!" You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five!

"That's the key.

"You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

""How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . . you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . . . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

"But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk. He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

"You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.

"Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 . . and your dreams are gone.

"But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

"So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

"You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

"You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime.

"And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92. "Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"

"May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

  1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them".
  2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
  3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
  4. Enjoy the simple things.
  5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
  6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
  7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
  8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
  9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
  10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Aren't these true? Hehehe...

Haven't update my blog since last week, quite busy with school. Hehe.. So, how ya'll doin over there? I got a flu last Sunday, and I can't even sleep well for the past few days. Luckily, I'm feelin better now. Hehe.. Btw, how's the weather over ur place? There's a hurricane in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida now. It's almost raining everyday over here and pretty windy too. The wind could blow to over 155 mph -- it's in the 5th category. Can u believe it? Quite fast, huh? In some places, there are floods too. Some of the people in Florida have been evacuated because of the hurricane. Almost all the schools, colleges, universities, and even the day care are closed today due to the hurricane Ivan. (That's why I can sit in front of my computer and update my blog. *wink*). IVAN, pretty cool name for a hurricane, huh? I wonder how it got this name. Hehe.. Anyway, here are some news about the hurricane -- Remnants of Hurricane Ivan soaked the Southeast Thursday evening after the storm came ashore with full force in Alabama and spawned tornadoes that killed eight people. -- CNN News. In the lethal wake of Hurricane Ivan, a storm that has killed more than 70 people, residents in five coastal states face homes sheared from their pilings, power outages, floodwaters, looters and the threat of a half-ton missing alligator who escaped from a zoo. -- GULF SHORES, Alabama (CNN News). Pretty scary, rite? Hope that the hurricane will be over soon so that there are no more victims.

Here are some of the pics.

Anyway, gotta have my lunch now 'coz my stomach is 'ringing' liao.. Ho Ho Ho... ^_^

Feelin hungry,

Argh!! Today, I started my day with a sleepy face (only slept for 4 hours). Haha... I had a History quiz juz now; it's about Renaissance & Reformation. Is anyone familiar with that? ^_^ I guess I was doing pretty well. Hoho... So, how's ur day folks? Been busy with works and assignments? Anyway, it keeps raining these few days. My cousin said that there was a storm here yesterday (I'm not really paid much attention on TV news). Hehe..

I have done nothing much in this weekend, juz doing homework and attending my fren's sis' wedding party which was pretty fabulous. From the moment the bride walked in until the moment they said "I do", it moved my heart, and I felt like I was going to cry. The wedding ceremony was not held in the church, it was in a hut, in a vast green pastures. The place was pretty nice, all looks green which is the bride's favourite color. Let me tell u sthg! The bride looks elegance, gorgeous, and pretty, and she is even prettier in that wedding gown. ^_^ Anyway, the guests and the families danced all night long and seemed to have so much fun that day. Me? I guess I was having fun and some precious moments too (dun think too much ar..). Hehe.. I'll try to get the wedding photos and upload them here so that u guys could see what was the party looks like.

I was reading Harry Potter juz now before I took an half hour break to watch Inuyasha. Guess u all are familiar with Harry Potter, rite? (Did I write sthg nonsense here?) Haha.. I couldn't borrow the 4th book of Harry Potter 'coz it's not available in my college library. Guess that I was not quick enuf that somebody has borrowed that book before me. HoHoHo... The 5th book is much thicker than the first two (though I haven't read any of them yet. *^_^*), and I have just finished reading Chapter 3 though it has been a week since I borrowed the book. Haha.. guess that I read too slow, huh? Anyway, it's almost 2 in the morning now, and I'm going to continue reading Chapter 4 before I lay myself on my bed, dreamin' about Harry Potter, I guess? *chuckle* GuD NiTe GuYzzzzzzzzz......

Whew! Finally I got a little time to update my blog, haha.. Kinda busy these few days doin' English & History homework. Anyway, I juz read my sis' today blog & found it quite interesting. She has been talking about how interesting her masterclass was. Guess she doesn't mind if I share it with u guys, hehe... (rite Jo Yin cc?) *wink..wink..* I like the sentence that she wrote in her blog that her lecturer talked to them about the 4 states of being -- asleep, awake, aware, and conscious.

"...she also made us all stand up and lift our arms to our sides.. you can even try this rite now if you're too bored and none's watching. Haha.. Ok..here it is.. stand up and lift your arms to your sides.. feel how your muscles work as you lift your arms to your sides and feel the sensation in your arms as they stay at right angle by your sides.. Already?.. Now.. put your arms down and visualise yourself lifting your arms....... (just visualise it in your mind., do not do it yet) ....visualise the sensation, the work or the muscle........ (take your time while doing this). When you're ready visualising it.. lift your arms again and see if it feels different from the first time you lifted your arms....hehe.. i dunno.. it worked for me.. it felt so much easier the second time around.. It almost felt like my arms were lighter. The theory being.. that every physical action is 95% brainwork and 5% muscle work, and after visualising an action (in this case, lifting your arms), most work has been done already in your brain, and therefore the muscles are ready to do it in the most efficient way.. almost effortlessly.. and therefore readier than it was the first time around when you did it there and then.. (during the masterclass, it was us taking her order to lift our arms..so the action was not anticipated by our brain).. it's almost like a mind game.. it's all in the mind... the first time we lifted our arms, we were in the state of consciousness.. we lifted our arms.. we were told to do so, but the second time, it was a state of awareness...the mind's aware of what it's doing..got it?.." -- Herlini Ong ^_^

So guys.. how do ya feel? Did u do as my sis said, agree with her? Huehue.. I can't do it rite now, 'coz I'm in the computer lab; a lot of ppl are here. If I did that, they'll think that something is wrong wif me. Haha.. (I'll try it at home later ^.^)

Anyway, does anyone know how to interpret dreams? 'Coz I had a nightmare 2 days ago. Guess wat! I dreamt that I was dead in a super duper unusual way. Hehe.. kinda scared me when I woke up! Do u guys ever dreamt of something like that? Or something that u dreamt really happen in ur real life? Few weeks ago, I realized sthg -- that is, deja-vu not only exist in our real life but also in our dream. U guys feel that way b4?

I guess I got to go now, class will start soon. Hehe.. I'll try to "come up" here again the day after tomorrow (wanna share my fren's sis' wedd) =)

C Ya Soon...
