Friday...Ellow ya'll.. how's everybody weekend, eh!? Fun? Interesting? Bored? Bla bla bla?? Mine was superb, haha.. never been dat 'busy' on my weekend. ho ho ho.. Wanna know what have I done during my weekend? Here it goes... Went to the IPA [International Peer Assistant] meeting, where all the new IPAs, the current IPAs/team leader and the supervisors got together. I must say, I really enjoy this meeting. We started our meeting by introducing ourselves [name, which campus we attend, & the reason why u join the IPA]. I met a lot of different ppl there, some came from Ecuador, Trinidad, Mexico, Kenya, S.Korea, Vietnam, and lots more. We get to know each other and some special things about each other. Haha... [It's our IPAs' secrets]. Then, the supervisors talked about what is the IPA, what are our commitments to the IPA program, and lots more. Here come the interesting parts: 'GAMES.' We played 3 games: walk in other ppl's shoes, blind-folded, and creating a building. Firstly, we took off our own shoes and make a circle with them. Then, we sat at the floor, talked about our feelings when we first came to United States/GPC [our college], bla bla bla.. Finally, the supervisor told us to pick any shoe [dun pick ur own shoe] and wore it. Hehe.. some even got the guy's shoe. The supervisor asked how do we feel walking in others' shoes. She even asked whether we can tell the personality of the person from juz looking at the shoe. Haha.. really fun.
The 2nd game: we are divided into 2 groups. Group 1 in one side, and group 2 in the opposite side. Get ur partner and blindfold ur partner. So.. here it goes, a person in group 1 is going to take his/her partner [group 2] for a walk around the field and vice versa. U cant touch ur partner, u only can give direction to ur partner so that she/he wont bump into something. One thing I learn from this game is TRUST & RESPONSIBILITY. U have to trust ur partner, who's giving u the directions, and the one who is giving the directions have to responsible of his/her partner. In other words, u have to take care of ur partner. We played around 20-30 mins, and all of us have fun. But, I have to admit... it's really hot outside. Haha... [it's still summer over here].
The 3rd game: We got 3 groups [Clarkston campus, Dunwoody campus, Lawrenceville campus], and we have to build a new campus of our own with all the stuffs in the box in juz 20 mins. Wat's in the box? We got papers, paper clips, straws, & some decorating stuffs. Here.. u can see all the creativities coming out from us. Haha... It's really a lot of fun making our own campus. Hehe.. Things I learn: TEAM WORK.
So after ard 5 hours of getting together, the supervisor ended the meeting by throwing a 'ball' of thread to one of us, and we have to share our feelings [wat we feel 'bout this meeting]. The 'ball' went on and on to each of us, thus when u looked at it.. it's like a web linking all of us. Hehe.. So.. those were my special, fun, exciting experience of the day. Haha... Whoa... *scrolling up* it's already this long?? Haha.. I guess I'll juz continue my entries on other post.. Hehe.. I'll be BACK!!!
